Well-known Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away on Sunday. He was all of 39 years when a massive cardiac arrest consumed his life.
As condolences kept pouring in, well-known novelist and Times Of India columnist Shobhaa De did the unthinkable when she posted Megastar Chiranjeevi’s picture in her condolence tweet. While she correctly tagged Chiranjeevi Sarja’s Twitter ID, the socio-political commentator put out the wrong picture, leading to much trolling. “One more shining star…gone! Just like that… what a tragic loss! Condolences to the bereaved family members,” De said, posting the ‘Sye Raa’ actor’s pic.
She deleted it soon enough. But, by then, many started trolling her and called her a “reckless celeb”, a “complete idiot” and more. Several asked her to be careful from next time. Many fans of the ‘Acharya’ actor have demanded an apology from De.
