Nobody had told me that before RGV sir: Sandeep

Sandeep, the actor who played the roles of Vangaveeti Radha and Ranga in RGV's latest release, now looks forward to an exciting career in cinema.

Hailing from Kakinada, the promising talent is Hyderabad-bred.  "I was always interested in acting even as a child.  I have been a big fan of Chiranjeevi garu.  Even when I bunked school/college to watch his movie, my parents wouldn't say anything to me.  I was very inspired to become an actor after watching Pawan Kalyan garu in 'Tammudu' and 'Toli Prema'.  People have told me that Ravi Teja's influence on me was visible in 'Jyothi Lakshmi'.  I just feel lucky that I got to work with Puri Jagannadh garu and Ramu garu so early in my career," Sandeep tells IndiaGlitz.

Although he is yet to play that typical mainstream hero's role in a film, Sandeep is confident of doing movies in "regular" format in future.  After doing 'Loafer', Sandeep was biding his time when RGV accidentally chanced upon him and saw Vangaveeti Radha in him.  "Nobody had ever told me that I look like him.  I had heard the names Radha and Ranga before, but never knew much about them.  Credit goes to RGV sir for spotting that talent in me.  He tweeting that my acting is great in the movie is the best compliment I have received so far," Sandeep avers.

Did he try method acting?  "I have heard about it.  I followed my director's instructions and did my part.  He gave me the freedom to interpret the characters in my way.  I had done some homework on how Radha and Ranga behaved.  There is only one photo of Radha garu and so, I had to rely on the accounts of some people (who are old now) to know more about his body language, etc.  I tried to find the videos of Ranga garu, but didn't find any.  I collected some photos and drew my own conclusions about his body language.  Sir liked my homework and suggested changes."

"Ranga's body language in the movie is different when he is a bachelor.  It undergoes a change in the course of the film," he elaborates.  "Radha doesn't laugh.  Whereas you find some smile in the face of my other character.  That's one of the subtle differences," he analyzes.
