Rajinikanth's 'Petta has confirmed its theatrical release. Yes, it's very much coming on January 10. The simultaneous Tamil-Telugu-Kannada release must bring cheers to the superstar's fans. The Telugu title is 'Peta'.

Producer Ashok Vallabhaneni owns the Telugu rights. The pre-release business after selling the movie to distributors is said to be around Rs 16 Cr. Ram Charan's 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama', Balakrishna's 'NTR' and Venkatesh-Varun Tej's 'Fun & Frustration' are also going to be in the Sankranthi race.

A few posters released give the impression that Rajini will be seen in a totally flashy avatar. Director Karthik Subbaraj and music director Anirudh Ravichander are confident. Starring Vijay Sethupathi as antagonist Jithu, the film has Trisha Krishnan and Simran as the heroines. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sasi Kumar, Bobby Simha and others are part of the cast.
