After being in news for quite sometime, Netflix has officially announced the anthology movie Navarasa produced by director Maniratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan. This anthology will have 9 short films which will be based on the 9 rasas.

The short films will be directed by KV Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthik Subbaraj, Halitha Shameem, Ponram, Karthick Naren, R Rathindran Prasad, Arvind Swami and will star Revathy, Nithya Menen, Parvathy, Aishwarya Rajesh, Poorna, Riythvika, Arvind Swami, Suriya, Siddharth, Vijay Sethupathi, Prakashraj, Saravanan, Alagamperumal, Prasanna, Vikranth, Simha, Gautham Karthik, Robo Shankar, Ashok Selvan, Ramesh Thilak, Sananth, Vidhu, Sreeram.

Music will be composed by AR Rahman, D Imman, Ghibran, Arul Dev, Karthik, Ron Ethan Yohann, Govind Vasantha, Justin Prabhakaran and Santosh Sivan, Balasubramniem, Manoj Paramahamsa, Abhinandan Ramanujam, Shreyas Krishna, Harshvir Oberai, Sujith Sarang, V Babu, Viraj Singh have worked as the cinematographers. Navarasa is written by Pattukottai Prabhakar, Selvaa, Madan Karky, Someetharan. This project is an initiative to raise funds and help people in the film industry affected due to the pandemic situation.
