Bollywood actress Ananya Panday was summoned to the office of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for questioning yesterday after her name apparently cropped up in Aryan Khan’s WhatsApp conversations discussing drugs. The NCB recorded Ananya’s statement after questioning her about the chats with Aryan.
As per reports, while the NCB has claimed that Ananya Panday had agreed to arrange ‘ganja’ for Aryan Khan in a conversation dating back to 2018-2019, Ananya stated that she was merely joking. The NCB also reportedly lacks evidence to prove that the actress had, in fact, arranged the substance for Aryan. “At one point in the conversation between Aryan Khan and Ananya Pandey, Aryan was talking to Ananya about ganja. Aryan was asking if there could be some ‘jugaad’ to arrange the weed,” India Today quoted an NCB source as saying.
“I will arrange,” Ananya had responded to the message, but informed the NCB that she did not mean it. The actress’ mobile phone and laptop have been seized by the anti-drugs agency. Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, among others, was arrested on October 3 after the NCB raided a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast and claimed to have seized drugs from the rave party.
