Exciting news is buzzing in the South Indian film industry: a biopic is on the cards for the legendary Carnatic singer MS Subbulakshmi. She was the first musician ever to be awarded the Bharat Ratna. In 1974, she became the first Indian musician to receive the Ramon Magsaysay Award, and she was the first Indian to perform at the United Nations General Assembly in 1966.
Sources have revealed that a Bengaluru-based production house is all set to bankroll the biopic drama of MS Subbulakshmi. The directorial team has started the pre-production reportedly. We hear that the makers are considering roping in Nayanthara, Trisha or Rashmika to play the titular role. The film is planned to be made on a big scale.
It is said that the producers have planned to begin shooting for the biopic by late 2024. The film is slated to hit the screens in 2025. An official announcement regarding this project is yet to be made. This news is spreading like wildfire on the internet now. The actresses are currently busy shooting for various projects.
