‘Indian 2’ first single: Anirudh’s ‘Paaraa’ is a spritiual successor to AR Rahman’s ‘Kappaleri Poyachu’ from ‘Indian’!

The powerful first single from Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ was released today. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, ‘Paaraa’ is a grand period song that marks the arrival of a warrior taking on the British. Anirudh and Shruthika Samudhrala’s vocals lit up the entire song, with stupendous lyrics by Pa Vijay.

The upbeat motivational song transitions to a soulful romantic melody towards the end, reminiscent of AR Rahman’s ‘Kappaleri Poyachu’ from ‘Indian’ (1996). Anirudh steps out of his comfort zone and delivers a unique track in his first collaboration with director Shankar. This song is sure to rule the music charts this year.

‘Indian 2’ is all set to hit the screens worldwide on July 12th. As per the song’s lyric video, the grand audio launch of the film will happen on June 1st in Chennai. Directed by Shankar, this magnum opus is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. ‘Indian 3’ will be released six months after the release of ‘Indian 2, likely on Pongal 2025.
