As the Tamil Film Producers Council and the digital service providers are at loggerheads, there has been no new movie releases with all shooting, production works coming to a halt. However, rumours are afloat that several theatre owners and Qube are swaying filmmakers to release their movies despite the strike.
Meanwhile, ‘Vasuki’ is the Tamil remake of Nayanthara’s hit Malayalam movie with Mammootty ‘Puthiya Niyamam’. The makers of the film have released a poster that advertises the film top be slated to to be released on March 29. The strike will be moot if the film released on the said date and reportedly producers will get in touch with the makers of the film to avert its release.
