Amid rumours of Nadigar Sangam's strong interference in the upcoming elections for Tamil Film Producers Council. the Sangam has sent a statement today clarifying its stand.
Nadigar Sangam has unequivocally stated that the Sangam will not interefere in the Producer Council's elections.
"Producer's Council is a very big organisation. It is like the backbone of the film industry. Its members will decide its office-bearers, Nadigar Sangam will not interfere in its state of affairs for any reasons.
But actors who are members and office bearers of the Nadigar Sangam are also members of the Producers council. The stand they take in the Producer's council election and their interviews in media about the same should be viewed as their activities as a member of the Council and they should not be connected with the Sangam."
The statement also requests the Producer Council to prevail upon its members and ask them to avoid dragging Nadigar Sangam.
