Multi-lingual singer KK passed away last night, leaving his fans and music lovers dejected. The Indian film fraternity is mourning his loss. Survived by his wife (named Jyothy Krishna), a son (named Nakul Krishna Kunnath) and a daughter (named Tamara Kunnath), KK was 53.
Born Krishnakumar Kunnath, the singer adopted KK as his screen name. Hours before his untimely death, KK performed at a concert in Kolkata. As per national media reports, he was brought to a private hospital after he complained of unease. He was dead while on the way. News18 today reported that the Kolkata city police are checking the CCTV footage of New Market Hotel, the hotel where KK was stay put.
Music lovers are taking to social media to remember his classics. They are heartbroken and the sense of loss is huge. SPB, also a legendary singer, passed away barely two years ago. Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last in February this year.
In his condolence tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he is saddened by the untimely demise of the noted singer. “His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti,” he wrote.
