‘Akhanda’ was the first major Telugu hit (it was a blockbuster) after the second wave of the pandemic. Released on December 2, 2021, the action drama film had a climax hinting that a sequel.
On the auspicious Maha Shivaratri day, composer SS Thaman took to social media and confirmed the sequel, which is going to be titled ‘Akhanda 2’. Last year, Nandamuri Balakrishna said that the idea for ‘Akhanda 2’ was ready. “We will definitely do it. We have locked the idea but didn’t decide when to start it,” he told a TV channel with director Boyapati Srinu by his side.
Balakrishna was most recently seen in ‘Veera Simha Reddy’. He is doing a film with Anil Ravipudi. The action entertainer is set in Telangana.
