Superstar bowler of Mumbai Indians to miss IPL 2023? – Here’s what we know

It is already known that the new season of IPL is set to begin on March 31. Now, the hot buzz is that the star pace bowler of the renowned franchise Mumbai Indians will not be available for the much-awaited tournament. The player in question is none other than Jasprit Bumrah.

According to a report by ESPN, the Indian fast bowler is set to miss IPL 2023 due to a back injury, which he suffered in August 2022. Reportedly, the BCCI medical staff recently suggested the surgery option to him following recurring niggles in his lower back. Following this, it has been learnt that he might miss the IPL 2023. This is going to be a major blow for the famous club.

Also, Jasprit Bumrah won’t be a part of the Indian cricket team in the World Test Championship final (if India qualifies) and his presence in the 50-over World Cup is uncertain. The final decision regarding the ODI World Cup is expected to be taken soon by the BCCI in coordination with the NCA and Bumrah. The ODI WC tournament is scheduled from October to November in India.
