The Congress high command (read Rahul Gandhi and his family) has chosen Kamal Nath to be the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, where Congress has emerged the single largest party in the recent Assembly elections.
Indira Gandhi had once famously described Kamal as her third son who helped defeat the Morarji Desai government in 1980. He has been a Member of Parliamentarian for 9 times.
"Bringing industry to Madhya Pradesh is one of the biggest challenges facing Kamal. The one person who has personal IOUs with all top industrialists is Kamal. Let's see if he can get his industrialist contacts to put their money where their mouth is," journalist Rahul Kanwal has said.
Many were saying that there will be a deputy chief minister in the state. But Rahul has decided not to go for any such post.
