Vijay Sethupathi has given hattrick hits 'Ka Pe Ranasingham', 'Master' and 'Uppena' and coincidentally all these three films had him in supporting roles while Aishwarya Rajesh, Thalapathy Vijay and Krithi Shetty were the protagonists. However, he has a lineup of big films as the main lead ready for release including 'Laabam', 'Tuglaq Darbar', 'Kadaisi Vivasaiyi', 'Yaadhum Oore Yavarum Kelir', 'Annabelle Subramaniam' and 'Mumbaikar'.
Vijay Sethupathi was supposed to start shooting his new Hindi movie 'Merry Christmas' directed by 'Andhadhun' fame Sreeram Raghavan. But Katrina Kaif the heroine of the film tested positive for COVID 19 a couple of weeks back and the film is now postponed and its unclear when it will resume under the present second wave pandemic situation.
Meanwhile, it is said that Vijay Sethupathi's Hindi web series directed by DK and Raj is expected to go on floors by May end and if the situation gets better it will go as planned. The series has Shahid Kapoor in the parallel lead and is expected to be an action thriller.
