If the 'Me Too' movement is about female victims of sexual harassment outing the names of their sexual predators, in Bengaluru, an NGO has thought it fit to start a 'Men Too' movement. At Cubbon Park, the other day, a group of men congregated to call out harassers of men among women. They held placards, which made it clear that their movement is against the fabricated cases registered under Section 498A of the IPC, better known in common parlance as the Dowry Act.
The name of the NGO is CRISP, which stands for Children's Rights Initiative for Shared Parenting. "Our movement is also for the benefit of the children who go through the ordeal of being raised by single parents following the separation of parents," a member said.
One of the members present there was accused many years ago of sexual harassment by his own daughter. He has been proven innocent. It's the concerns of such men that the 'Men Too' movement wants to highlight.
