Karnan director Mari Selvaraj managed to watch the film recently and was mighty impressed by it. He took to Twitter and wrote, “#Malayankunju is revelatory in so many terms from its sensitive story, @twitfahadh sir’s masterly performance, @arrahman sir’s haunting score & a realistic making which is only possible with an extraordinary technical crew. It is a great theatre experience. Best wishes to the team. (sic).”
The movie talks about a massive landslide in the high ranges of Kerala. This natural calamity results in the death of several people. It follows the life of a survivor Anikkuttan, an electrician who loses his father to suicide.
