Good news for Selvaraghavan and Santhanam fans

Director Selvaraghavan over the years has directed so many cult classics that he has a fan base that is equal to a mainstream hero.  On the other side Santhanam who started his career as a comedian and rose to the top of the ladder has now switched on to lead roles and has consolidated his position as a hero.

Four years back on 15th July 2016 came the big news that Selvaraghavan would be directing a new romantic movie with Santhanam and Aaditi Pohankar in the lead roles with music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja.  The film titled ‘Mannavan Vanthaanadi’ went on floors the same year in December and was shot in various locations. 

Unfortunately due to a financial crunch for the producer ‘Mannavan Vanthaanadi’ was shelved.  But fans never forgot about the film in all these years and always ask for updates on this rare and exciting film.

Now comes the good news that Varun Manian who has produced films such as ‘Kaaviya Thalaivan’ and ‘Vaayai Moodi Pesavum’ is getting back to production and has undertaken ‘Mannavan Vanthaanadi.  It is said that eighty percent shooting of the film is already complete and only twenty percent is left.

Santhanam is said to have given assurance that he would give dates in priority for the project out of the respect he has towards Selvaraghavan and has also agreed to forego some of his remunerations too to get the film to the audience.  Stay tuned for more updates on this special film regarding when the remaining portions will start shooting and other details.
