'Manasanamaha', the much sought-after and popular Telugu-language short film, has got a new feather in its cap. By winning more than 900 national and international awards given to best short films, the Deepak Reddy directorial has now become a Guinness Book of World Records entry as the most-awarded short film.

'Manasanamaha' is the first Telugu-language short to receive the Guinness honour.

The team of the film, including actors Viraj Ashwin, Drishika Chander, Srivalli Raghavendar and Prithvi Sharma, are quite happy. The short film's music director Syed Kamran and cinematographer Edurolu Raju have also received appreciation from various quarters.

Last year, it won the Best Short Film award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival. This is also an Oscar and BAFTA entry. Produced by Gajjala Shilpa, the short film has been promoted by the likes of Anushka Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna and others. "What a phenomenal achievement. A game-changing short film. I also have the pleasure of calling you a friend as well as the distributor of #Major. I can’t wait for you to shake the world with a feature film," wrote Adivi Sesh.
