Legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan was hailed as one of the best ever in world cinema during his time and more than two decades after his death he still remains an icon and an inspiration. The teaser of Malayalam megastar Mammootty's latest film 'Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam' directed by Lijo Jose Pelliserry was unveiled on Sunday. The entire one minute twenty six seconds clip is a tribute to the Nadigar Thilagam.

Mammootty as a drunkard in a bar has recreated Sivaji's powerful dual roles in the 1973 film 'Gauravam'. He switches between the proud maternal uncle Barrister Rajinikanth and the meek novice Kannan in the powerful scene when they become rivals during a court case. Fans of Sivaji are lauding Mammootty for this tribute.

'Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam' also stars Ashokan, Ramya Pandian, Kainakary Thankaraj, T. Suresh Babu, Chethan Jayalal, Ashwath Ashokkumar, Sanjana Dipu and Rajesh Sharma. Theni Easwar is handling the camera.
