"You may take me, but not my country." This is the running emotion of the trailer for 'Major', which was released a while ago. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan (Adivi Sesh) is adventurous and gutsy right from childhood. When he wants to protect the country from its enemies, the military becomes his natural choice.
When India faces its darkest hour in the form of the Mumbai terror attacks of 2008, Major Sandeep's highest ethics come to the fore. As a soldier, he is ready to lay down his life to protect any single life in the Taj Mahal Palace, which has been laid siege by terrorists.
Prakash Raj, as Major's father, delivers an emotional monologue as a tribute to his son, martyred during the 26/11 attacks. Saiee Manjrekar plays the protagonist's girlfriend, but there is another female character that makes a better impact: the mother played by Revathi. Sobhitha Dhulipala plays one of the hostages. Murali Sharma is a soldier.
Produced by: Sony Pictures Films India, GMB Entertainment, and A+S Movies, 'Major' has action choreography by Sunil Rodrigues. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, 'Major' is co-written by Adivi Sesh (story and screenplay) and Abburi Ravi (Script Guidance and dialogues). Cinematography is by Vamsi Patchipulusu, while Sri Charan Pakala has composed the music.
