Mahesh, Venkatesh pay last respects to Jaya’s mortal remains

Mahesh Babu (accompanied by Namrata Shirdokar and director Vamsi Paidipally) and Venkatesh today reached the Hyderabad residence of director B Jaya, who passed away on Thursday night due to a heart-related ailment.  Mahesh’s father, Superstar Krishna, has been associated with the late director’s husband, BA Raju, for decades.  The Daggubatis, much like a few other cine families, especially the Akkinenis, have high regard for Raju.  

Condolences are pouring in from the film industry, which has always held Jaya in high esteem.  “My deepest condolences to @baraju_SuperHit garu and his family on the sudden demise of Director B.Jaya garu. May her soul rest in peace,” said Krish Jagarlamudi.  “Sad to know that B Jaya Garu passed away. My deepest condolences to @baraju_SuperHit garu & their family.. May her soul rest in peace,” actor Srikanth noted.

A shocked Rakul Preet said, “Can’t believe this happened !! Such a sweet person gone too soon .. RIP #jayagaru .. strength to @baraju_SuperHit and the entire family in this terrible time.”  

Allari Naresh tweeted, “Jaya garu led the way and was such an inspiration to many female filmmakers. A wonderful human being,she leaves behind a big void in TFI. My heartfelt condolences to @baraju_SuperHit Garu and family. May her soul rest in peace.”
