Mahesh’s highest ever remuneration, budget

Months ago when it was clear that a Mahesh Babu film in the direction of Murugadoss was in the offing, it was reported by certain sections of the media that the superstar is going to charge a bomb for the movie.  This being a bi-lingual, Mahesh is said to have demanded a huge Rs. 23 cr from the producers.  This news came in the wake of the Tamil version of Srimanthudu, Selvanthan, doing decent enough business in Tamil Nadu.  

It's learnt that between them, the director and the hero are charging a whopping Rs. 43-45 cr.  Murugadoss, who is one of the producers, is said to have demanded about Rs. 20 cr as his fee.  

This has made many estimate that this untitled bi-lingual's budget will be an astronomical Rs. 100 cr., the highest in Mahesh's career.  So, both remuneration-wise and budget-wise, this is the peak till date for the actor.  

The top Kollywood director will start off with filming a song on Mahesh Babu sometime this month.  A set is reportedly being erected in Annapurna Studios for the purpose.
