“The film speaks about the way he lived, not about the way he lost life,” the makers of ‘Major’, which is based on Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, today said. The remarks came on the occasion of the late Major’s birth anniversary, who defended the hostages of 26/11.
Talking about the film, the makers commented that the film aims to show how the valiant soldier saved the lives of numerous hostages during the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai attacks in 2008. Actor Adivi Sesh, who is playing the titular character, is looking the part.
The Hindi-Telugu bilingual is produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Mahesh Babu-owned GMB Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and A+S Movies.
Helmed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the film also stars Sobhita Dhulipala and Saiee Manjrekar. Besides Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murali Sharma are part of the cast.
Written by Adivi Sesh, its dialogues are by Abburi Ravi, who is also providing script guidance. Cinematography is by Vamsi Patchipulusu. Music is by Sri Charan Pakala. Production Design is by Avinash Kolla. Action Choreography is by Sunil Rodrigues. Costumes are by Rekha Boggarapu. VFX Supervision is by CV Rao.
