Superstar Mahesh Babu is also one of the most popular icons on Twitter.  Given his awesome looks and an almost pan-South Indian popularity, it's not surprising that he would have more number of followers than most of his contemporaries.  

On Twitter, he now commands 3 Million followers.  This comes at a time when buzz around his Rs. 100 Cr Telugu-Tamil bilingual has gone up like never before.  Also, yesterday was the day when a look from his up-and-coming movie was put out and widely shared.
