Legendary sprinter Milkha Singh is no more. He breathed his last on Friday due to post-Covid complications. Aged 91, he had tested positive for coronavirus towards the end of May. Several film celebrities from all over the country have condoled the legend's demise.

Mahesh Babu wrote that he is deeply saddened by the passing away of the sports legend. The 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' actor described Singh's demise as a monumental loss for our nation. The superstar mentioned that Singh's incredible legacy will continue to inspire athletes all over the world. He ended the tweet with a 'Rest in peace, sir' remark.
Nandamuri Balakrishna described the news as heart-breaking. "When India was figuring out how to walk post Independence, you showed us how to run," the 'Akhanda' actor said, paying a rich tribute to the departed soul. The Nata Simha added that Singh taught Indians how to dream big and then chase those dreams despite all odds. "You will continue to inspire generations to come. Thank you for giving the entire country years of pride and honour. The nation will remember you and seek inspiration from you forever," Balayya added.
Earlier today, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar wrote, "Incredibly sad to hear about the demise of #MilkhaSingh ji. The one character I forever regret not playing on-screen! May you have a golden run in heaven, Flying Sikh. Om shanti, Sir (sic)." Shah Rukh Khan tweeted that the Flying Sikh may no longer be with us in person but his presence will always be felt and his legacy will remain unmatched.
