Last year, the Regional Passport Office denied to attach fresh pages onto Kushboo's Passport which had a validity till 2022 citing pending criminal cases against the actress. Kushboo then filed a petition in the HC challenging the same.
Justice Rajendran of the Madras High Court has now ordered the Regional Passport Officer to re-issue the actress' Passport, stating that refusal of re-issuing the Passport on grounds of pending criminal cases cannot be legally sustained. Should Kushboo travel abroad, she needs to intimate the Madurai bench of the HC, stating her travel itinerary, date of departure & return among other details.
