Maanaadu pre-release event: Venkat Prabhu heaps praise on Silambarasan

Maanaadu s all set to hit the theatres on the 25th and fans can’t wait to watch their idol Simbu on big screens. Maanaadu pre-release event happened today and Director Venkat Prabhu who worked with many top heroes in the industry heaped praises on Silambarasan.

Speaking at the event Venkat Prabhu said, ” I did not narrate the story when I went and met Simbu, I shared only the idea with him and revealed the title (Silambarasan In Maanaadu). More than the story he liked his character’s name ‘Abdul Kalik’.”

“Simbu and SJ Surya’s roles were very difficult to bring to life, but they both did it with ease. They are stuck in the time loop and are forced to act the same scene in many different ways,” he added. He also stated that Silmabarasn is a born actor and to work with him in this movie was a “delight”

“Simbu has travelled a long way with us and also helped me during the initial days of my career. I have always wanted to work with him and my wish has come true through Suresh Kamatchi sir. I hope we make more films together,” he concluded.

Maanaadu is produced by Suresh Kamatchi, starring Silambarasan and Kalyani Priyadarshan, with S. J. Suryah as the antagonist. It also stars Bharathiraja, S. A. Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran and Premgi Amaren in supporting roles. The film is scheduled to be released on 25 November 2021.
