Look why Sundeep Kishan is happy

Sundeep Kishan is a happy man, going by his tweets.  His film Okka Ammayi Thappa, released yesterday, has got a good opening.  According to some estimates, the Rajasimha Tadinada-directed thriller-like film mopped up Rs. 1.3 cr on day one in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The official page of the film said on Twitter, "Despite 1st day negative reviews the strong mouth talk taking the audience to the theatres full crowds."  Sundeep tweeted saying, "Getting additional multiplex shows all over Nizam thanks to good word of mouth 🙂 thanks to the audience :)" 

Set in the backdrop of a traffic gridlock, the film tells the story of a youth who is emotionally blackmailed by a terrorist who manipulates him into doing his bidding.  The crux lies in how this commoner defeats the resourceful, cunning terrorist at his own game.  Fine performances and some highs in the screenplay seem to be working in the film's favour.

Let's see if the film is set to become a sleeper hit.
