Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Dream Project ‘Irumbukai Mayavi’: The Hero Buzz

One of the most anticipated projects in the contemporary Tamil film industry is Director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s dream project, ‘Irumbukai Mayavi,’ a film centered around a superhero story.

Lokesh’s Clarification:

In a recent interview, Lokesh Kanagaraj stated that ‘Irumbukai Mayavi’ is completely different from his usual style of direction and that this film will fundamentally change people’s perception of him.

He also clarified that the script for this film was written for Suriya sir, and that the public is mistakenly thinking he will be doing it with Aamir Khan sir. Furthermore, he mentioned that he had written the story 10 years ago, and since some important elements of that story have been used in recent films, he is currently forced to make some changes.

“Irumbukai Mayavi is completely different from my usual style of cinema. If I make Irumbukai Mayavi, people will completely change their view of me. But there is a small problem: people think I am doing Irumbukai Mayavi with Aamir Khan sir and not Suriya sir. But that is not true. I wrote the story of Irumbukai Mayavi 10 years ago, and many recent films have used similar scenes or key elements. So I want to change it, but if I change it too much, it won’t feel like Irumbukai Mayavi.” – Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Excitement Over Casting Changes:

Initially, actor Suriya was slated to play the lead role in this film. However, the project was postponed due to various reasons. Subsequently, there was widespread speculation that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan would star in the film. Although Aamir Khan confirmed in an interview that he would be acting under Lokesh’s direction, confusion remained as to whether it was ‘Irumbukai Mayavi.’

According to the latest information, Lokesh Kanagaraj has narrated the story of his dream project ‘Irumbukai Mayavi’ to ‘Pushpa’ star Allu Arjun. Reports suggest that Allu Arjun was highly impressed by the script and that this film might potentially become Lokesh’s first Telugu film. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this.

As the story has now been narrated to Allu Arjun, following Suriya and Aamir Khan, the anticipation among fans is high to see which hero will eventually collaborate with Lokesh for this magnum opus project.
