Whoa! ‘Leo’ actor confirms Lokesh Kanagaraj joining Superstar Rajinikanth for ‘Thalaivar 171’

Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the highly bankable filmmakers in modern day Kollywood. He has been delivering profitable ventures since his debut flick. Loki took mainstream action films in Tamil cinema to the next level and also introduced the cinematic universe concept to our audience.

Lokesh recently wrapped up shooting for the Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Leo’. While he was expected to start ‘Kaithi 2’ with Karthi after this, reports broke out that Superstar Rajinikanth has asked Loki to direct a film with him. There is no official word regarding this buzz. Now, a ‘Leo’ actor has confirmed Lokesh’s next with Rajinikanth in a recent interview.

Babu Antony, a veteran Malayalam action hero, is playing one of the villains in Leo. While talking to a Malayalam channel, the actor reportedly said that he will be acting in Lokesh’s upcoming film with Rajinikanth after the completion of Leo. He also recalled sharing screen space with Thalaivar in the 1991 movie ‘Nattukku Oru Nallavan’ and adored Rajini’s appreciating nature.

Director Rathna Kumar, who regularly collaborates with Lokesh Kanagaraj in his endeavours, took to social media and posted a new picture with Loki. He captioned the image, “New Beginnings ??” (sic). Some sources tell us that Rathna will also be working on ‘Thalaivar 171’ while the other reports suggest that Rathna Kumar’s post is about his directorial project with Raghava Lawrence under Lokesh’s production. We have to wait for an official confirmation.
