Lavanya Tripathi awaits a makeover, both of image and looks, in an upcoming surreal action comedy. Remember ‘Mathu Vadalara’, which became a sleeper hit in December 2019? Its debutant director Ritesh Rana is wielding the megaphone for this as-yet-untitled flick. The ‘Andala Rakshasi’ actress is excited about playing a well-rounded character in this one.
Speaking about her character, the ‘Arjun Suravaram’ actress has said that she will be delivering comic quotient in the movie, which went on the floors on Monday in Hyderabad. The ‘Chaavu Kaburu Challaga’ and ‘A1 Express’ actress has already participated in workshops to ensure that she gets the beats of the comedy character right. The screenplay is tight and she believes that the quirky nature of the comedy will be loved by the audience.
Mythri Movie Makers and Clap Entertainment are bankrolling the film. This project offers her the first opportunity to do comedy, more than Nani’s ‘Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy’. “I enjoy playing comedy roles. I feel that I can be the real me when I get comedy roles. In real life, I tend to make a sad person laugh. I am a comedy piece, but don’t make this a headline (laughs),” she said in an interview recently.
