Director Nag Ashwin of 'Mahanati' has approached his contemporaries to play the roles of two yesteryear directorial heavyweights in his film.
The news is that Krish will be seen as the critically-acclaimed star director of the old times, Kadiri Venkata Reddy, in this Savithri biopic. As his assistant will be seen the 'Pelli Choopulu' guy, Tharun Bhaskcer, who will play Singeetham Srinivas Rao. The maverick Singeetham had worked as KV Reddy's assistant for the classic film 'Mayabhazaar'. It goes without saying that both Krish and Tharun will be seen in cameos.
Released in 1957, the epic fantasy starred Savitri, NTR and SV Ranga Rao in key roles. SVR is played by the redoubtable king of dialogue delivery, Mohan Babu. The makers are yet to find their NTR.
