When a TSRTC bus fell off the ghat road near Kondagattu in Telangana’s Jagityal district on Tuesday noon, as many as 40 people died either on the spot or in a nearby hospital in Karimnagar and Jagityal districts. The tragic incident has also resulted in 30 more being severely injured. Reportedly, the bus was ferrying at least 80 passengers. Many doctors have rushed to the spot to render first aid to those who could be saved.
As per a report, the bus driver, named Viswanath, being relatively new to driving, is not competent enough to successfully drive through the ghat.
Allegedly, the conductor allowed 80 passengers while the seating capacity of the bus is a mere 44.
