‘Kids are evil’: Complaint filed against Swara Bhaskar

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar was recently on a talk show.  At one point, the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress started talking about how she hates being called an ‘Aunty’ by a child during a shoot.  As someone who doesn’t like to be called an ‘Aunty’, Swara actually went on to say that children are evil!  She also abused the four-year-old kid using two expletives.

Following much outrage against the actress, an NGO named Legal Rights Protection Forum has filed a complaint against Swara with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.  Given the kind of language that she used, the NCPCR is expected to seek explanation from the actress.

“The episode is a stark reminder that you can’t get away by saying ominous things in the name of humour.  In the past, Salman Khan was at the receiving end for making a rape joke.  Celebrities think they can say anything,” an observer says.
