Keerthy Suresh goes for prosthetic

The biopic 'Mahanati' has been in the making since May.  The role of actress Savithri is being essayed by Keerthy Suresh, who is also doiing it for the Tamil version titled 'Nadigayar Thilagam'.

Savithri was a fatty actress by today's standards and Keerthy is definitely not that.   It has been rumored that the star actress has been working towards putting on weight to nail the character perfectly.

However, Keerthy has clarified that she is using prosthetic makeup to get the look.  It may be recalled that it's Kamal who pioneered the makeup technique in Indian cinema by extensively using it in many of his films, including 'Avvai Shanmughi' ('Bhamane Sathyabhamane'), 'Indran Chandran'('Indrudu-Chandrudu'), 'Dasavatharam' and others.
