Chiranjeevi has welcomed the relief measures announced by the KCR government for the well-being of the Telugu film industry on Monday. He said that GST reimbursement for films made with less than Rs 10 Cr in Telangana and other measures are going to help Tollywood tide over the ongoing crisis.
“Heartfelt thanks to Hon’ble CM Shri. KCR garu for the relief measures to the film industry. Trust that these compassionate measures surely will go a long way in reviving the industry badly hit by the pandemic and put it back on the path to progress,” the Megastar tweeted.
The ‘Acharya’ actor wrote that flexible ticket pricing (as allowed in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi); waiving off minimum fixed electricity charges for theatres for a period of six months (ending October this year); and the freedom to screen more than four shows at will are most welcome measures.
Some of these were the demands of the exhibitors, too.
