Kavin is coming together with director Elan and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja ('Pyaar Prema Kaadhal' combo) for his new film, 'Star'. The makers launched the film's first single today marking Superstar Rajinikanth's birthday. Lokesh Kanagaraj unveiled the song and wished the movie team on his social media page.

'Star' is all about an aspiring youngster emerging as a film star. The first single, 'College Superstars', is a youthful peppy number about the hero's college days. Yuvan Shankar Raja's composition is simple yet flamboyant with a brilliant usage of instruments. Madhan Karky's lyrics are fun-loving and relatable in this song. Kavin's looks and dance moves are a treat to watch.

Notably, the song video has many Superstar references. 'Star' features Kavin, Lal, Aaditi Pohankar, Preity Mukhundhan, Geetha Kailasam and others. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on Valentine's Day 2024. The film has DOP by Ezhil Arasu K and editing by Pradeep E Ragav with choreography by Sathish Krishnan.
