Announced as Katy Perry's sixth studio album, "143," it is expected to hit September 20 To reveal song excerpts from the much awaited record, the pop sensation went live on her social media platforms.

Perry said of "143" that it's a dance record, a project she always wanted to do. "I have been discussing doing two albums for the past eight years—a dance album and an acoustic album," she said during her Instagram Live session. "I finally made the dance album I always wanted to; I haven't created the acoustic album yet."

Highlighting the album's lively and energetic character, she said, "super high energy, super summer, very high BPM." Perry said the album is "full of so much joy, so much love, so much light" and that she recently had a family dance party to one of the new tunes.

Perry played three tracks on Instagram Live and TikHub Live even signing record inserts for "143." First came "I'm His He's Mine" with Doechii, which borrowed Crystal Waters' 1991 song "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)." She also revealed a lively song called "Nirvana" and "Gimme Gimme" with 21 Savage.

On TikHub Perry noted, "143" is essentially a dancing party. "Every fantasy is welcome." Perfect for summer, it has great energy and plenty of love.

Perry earlier hinted at the first song off the album, "Woman's World," which will hit July 11 accompanied with a music video. Perry intimated on TikHub that she had cleared her calendar to maybe tour shortly, even though no tour dates have yet been confirmed.
