Kate Middleton gracefully executed a record-breaking curtsy on Tuesday, showcasing her royal finesse and extensive training.

Dressed in a stunning red hat by Jane Taylor and a Catherine Walker & Co. wool cape, the Princess of Wales joined her husband, Prince William, in welcoming South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, alongside his wife, First Lady Kim Keon Hee, during their formal state visit to the UK.

At the Horse Guards Parade in London, the couple was welcomed by King Charles and Queen Camilla for a ceremonial event. As Prince William acknowledged his father and Camilla with a bow, Princess Kate, walking up the stairs behind him, executed a flawless curtsy to the King and Queen, impressively avoiding a potential mishap.

With a beaming smile for the cameras, Princess Kate gracefully took her place next to Prince William.

Later that evening, the visiting couple, along with British and Korean flags lining the streets, paraded in a horse-drawn carriage to Buckingham Palace.

At the grand state banquet, attended by 170 guests including royals and celebrities like K-Pop group Black Pink, King Charles praised Black Pink for championing environmental causes as ambassadors for COP 26 and the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.

In royal tradition, greeting members of the royal family with a curtsy or bow has been customary for centuries. However, Princess Kate reportedly refused to bow to Queen Camilla during King Charles’ coronation due to a dispute over guest invitations.

Similarly, Meghan Markle's purported refusal to curtsy to Kate Middleton has allegedly contributed to her decision with Prince Harry not to return to the UK. Royal biographers have hinted at this tension within the royal family.
