Young director Karthick Naren impressed the audience with his debut Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, a neo-noir crime thriller film that was critically acclaimed. He is now all set for the release of his next movie 'Mafia,' featuring Arun Vijay and Priya Bhavani Shankar.

The director is also awaiting the release of another one of his upcoming films, Naragasooran, which has been on the back burner for quite a while now owing to financial issues. It's been reported that the delay in the release of the movie caused friction between Karthick Naren and the producer of the movie, Gautham Menon. However, things seem to have improved right now, as Karthick recently posted a picture of himself on his Instagram page with the caption, "Confront & calm! .. Because there is more to live for." When one of the users had asked for an update regarding Naragasooran in the comments, the director assured him that the movie will hit the screens by March 2020.

Naragasooran is being produced by GVM under his 'Ondraga Entertainment' banner and will feature Arvind Swami, Shriya Saran, Sundeep Kishan, and Aathmika in the lead roles.
