Karthik Naren, who took the Kollywood fans in 'wonder' with 'Project Agni' in 'Navarasa', is currently busy with his 'Maaran' starring Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles. Karthick is currently busy shooting for Dhanush's action thriller backed by Sathya Jyothi Films.

We had already reported to you that Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan shot for Maaran in Hyderabad at a long stretch. The productions work of the film is proceeding at a brisk phase. Now, the latest speculation is that Karthick is all set to direct the young and charming actor Atharvaa in his upcoming project.

After completing Maaran, Karthick has signed a film with Ayngaran International, the production house wants Atharvaa to play the lead role in the project. The official announcement regarding this new film will be out very soon. Meanwhile, there is a strong buzz that Karthick Naren's long-delayed mystery thriller 'Naragasooran' to have an OTT release soon in SonyLIV. The digital release is yet to be confirmed.

Atharvaa has Kuruthi Aattam with 8 Thotakkal director Sri Ganesh, Thallipogathey with director Kannan, yet-untitled films with Maragadha Naanayam director Saravanan, director Bala, and Mysskin in the pipeline. The actor also starred in an unreleased film 'Oththaiku Oththa' under debutant Barnesh's directorial, Pa.Ranjith's former assistant director. The release of this flick is doubtful.
