Karthi one of the top bracket heroes of Tamil cinema is riding high professionally after gaining critical acclaim for his recent films 'Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru' and 'Kaithi' as well as huge commercial success as well. He has currently completed ninety percent of shooting for his next film 'Sultan' costarring Rashmika Mandanna and is gearing up to resume shooting for Mani Ratnam's mega multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' costarring Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha among others.

On the personal front too there is a lot to cheer for Karthi as his wife Ranjani is pregnant and is awaiting the birth of their second child in her hometown Gowndampalayam in Erode district. The hardworking leading man is also stationed in his in-laws place giving full support to his wife according to sources.
