We all know that Karthi's spy thriller 'Sardar' directed by PS Mithran had a grand theatrical release on October 21. The film is doing so well at the box office and is expected to be Karthi's best outing collection-wise. The team had a press meet yesterday marking the success of the movie.

In the event, a reporter asked whether there is a possibility for Dilli (Karthi's character in Kaithi) to appear in Lokesh Kanagaraj's next 'Thalapathy 67'. Karthi answered, "I don't know about that. It is not as easy as you ask. Producers and rights are different for those two films. There are lots of practical difficulties in it. We all can desire but the respective producers have to discuss and regulate it."

Karthi confirmed once again that Kaithi 2 will commence filming next year. Karthi's 2019 film Kaithi and Kamal Haasan's 2022 film Vikram are part of director Lokesh Kanagaraj's cinematic universe. Now, the big question is if Lokesh Kanagaraj's next with Vijay, 'Thalapathy 67', will feature in the LCU. Sources say that Vijay and Lokesh will start their new film in December.
