In recent news, the construction of the Nadigar Sangam building, which has been in progress for several years, has hit a snag due to financial difficulties. Despite efforts by union officials to resume construction, work on the building had to be halted.

However, there's a glimmer of hope as Minister Udhayanidhi stepped in to offer support. He contributed one crore rupees towards the construction efforts. A photo circulating online shows the executives of the Nadigar Sangam, including Nassar, Vishal, Karthi, Poochi Murugan, and Karunas, receiving the generous donation from Minister Udhayanidhi.

Following this gesture, veteran actor Kamal Haasan also extended a helping hand by donating another one crore rupees for the construction project. The General Secretary Vishal, Treasurer Karti, and Vice President Poochi Murugan gratefully accepted the contribution at Kamal Haasan's office in Alwarpet, Chennai. Kamal Haasan holds significant roles as a Trust Member and Senior Member of the South Indian Actors Association.

These contributions mark a significant step forward in realizing the vision of completing The Nadigar Sangam building, providing a space for actors to gather and conduct union activities.
