Even as Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Sarkar’ is ruling the roost as Tamil cinema’s biggest opening ever, politicians have been taking an opposite stand against the film, especially from the ruling party. The ruling party members are demanding removal of certain scenes depicting people angrily throwing away freebies given by the government during elections and naming the villain character as Komalavalli supposed to be the real name of former CM Jayalalitha.
Kamal Haasan has come out in support of ‘Sarkar’ stating that it is not new for this government to illegally give pressure to a film that has been legally censored and released. He has added that a government that does not have the courage to stomach criticisms will derail. The Ulaganayagan has prophesied that the political businessmen gang will be destroyed and the good will join hands to rule soon.
