It is well-known that Kamal Haasan and Shankar's long-delayed magnum opus 'Indian ' was revived last month following the path-breaking success of 'Vikram'. The makers wrapped up a schedule in Chennai after the revival.

According to sources, new members have been added to the direction team of 'Indian 2' now. Shankar is one of the most successful directors in Indian cinema who had highly talented associates including Chimbu Devan, Vasanthabalan, Arivazhagan and Atlee. His assistants are now blockbuster directors in the film industry.

Reportedly, the ace director asked three of his former associates Chimbu Devan, Vasanthabalan, and Arivazhagan to help him in directing 'Indian 2' as he will be joggling between 'Indian 2' shoot and 'RC15' shoot. The trio is expected to co-direct 'Indian 2' along with Shankar henceforth and they will be joining the team from the next schedule.

The next schedule of 'Indian 2' shoot will commence soon in Chennai. Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal are expected to join the rest of the cast in the upcoming leg of filming. Ulaganayagan will be sporting multiple looks for the film. The filming of 'Indian 2' will be happening in a film city in Chennai, and the team has more than 40% of the portions left to shoot.

'Indian 2' also features Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Samuthirakani, Karthik, Sathyaraj, Nandu Poduval, and Bobby Simha among others. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music for the film, and the makers are planning to release the movie in June 2023. It is being produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies.
