Kaavalan Re-Release: Vijay-Asin’s Romantic Action-Comedy Is Back After 14 Years!

The iconic romantic action-comedy film from Tamil cinema starring Thalapathy Vijay, Kaavalan (2011), directed by Siddique, is all set for a grand re-release on December 5. Featuring Vijay and Asin in the lead roles, the film received a tremendous response when it first hit the screens, and now this re-release, announced in celebration of Vijay’s 33rd year in the film industry, has created massive excitement among fans.

Kaavalan is the official remake of the Malayalam hit Bodyguard. It marked the third on-screen pairing of the much-loved Vijay-Asin duo. Vijay plays Bhoominathan, a dutiful and responsible security guard who finds himself caught between love and duty, while Asin shines as Meera, his love interest. The film also features Rajkiran, Roja, Vadivelu, Mithra Kurian, and others in important roles. With music composed by Vidyasagar, the movie was a huge commercial success upon its original release.
