‘Jigarthanda Double X’ trailer: Karthi Subbaraj’s world looks splendid with SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence!

Acclaimed director Karthik Subbaraj brought the phenomenal actors SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence together for ‘Jigarthanda Double X’, which is a sequel to his 2014 blockbuster. The film is coming to the cinemas on November 10 clashing with Karthi’s ‘Japan’ for this Diwali.

The trailer of Jigarthanda Double X debuted on the internet just now. The 3-minute long video opens with a man laughing about a black-skinned guy being the lead hero of a cinema in 1975. It is followed by Raghava Lawrence’s dashing intro, who wants to be the first black-skinned hero of Tamil cinema. SJ Suryah walks in as Ray Dasan, an assistant of the legendary Satyajit Ray and the one who going to direct Lawrence.

We can taste a kickass blend of cinema and action in the trailer. This movie seems to be path-breaking for the Western action genre in Tamil cinema. The direction, visuals, music and editing are super stylish yet Nimisha Sajayan’s character is likely to be native with a strong emotional connection for us. However, the trailer hasn’t revealed the main storyline.

Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah’s performances look riveting fuelled by powerful dialogues. Jigarthanda Double X boasts an ensemble cast of SJ Suryah, Raghava Lawrence, Shine Tom Chacko, Nimisha Sajayan, Naveen Chandra, Aravind Aakash and others. Santhosh Narayanan composed the music with visuals by Thirunavukkarasu and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali.
