NEC Corp, a Japanese company, is in the news for making and demonstrating a flying car which looks like a large drone-like machine. When it was demonstrated earlier this week, the world came to know that it had four propellers attached.
"The car could hover steadily for about a minute," a report says. During the demonstration, the new-age car took a flight up to 10 feet high. It can't be used any time soon on roads.
It's a stated goal of the Government of Japan to pursue large-scale production of flying cars by the year 2030.
Issues such as battery life and general safety concerns remain pertaining to flying cars. Their mass production won't be easy at all. As per a report, Uber, Airbus, Volocopter and Boeing are also seeking to become manufacturers of flying cars.
