Janani Iyer gets frank about Me Too

Popular actress Janani Iyer who shot to fame with Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’ later impressed in ‘Thegid’ and ‘Athey Kangal’.  But her true claim to fame came after her stint in ‘Bigg Boss 2 Tamil’ in which she was hailed as the most popular contestant after title winner Riythvika.

At a recent even Janani Iyer shared her thoughts on the Me Too movement hailing it as a welcome platform for women to share about sexual harassment that they experience in their workplaces.  However Janani also agreed that it could be misused and appealed to those who do that to refrain from spoling its name.  She is of the opinion that it is best to reveal about the incidents then and there to get immediate redressal.  Janani defended her movie industry by stating that sexual harassments happen in other fields too such as IT but it does not get the coverage as that of celebrities.
